DariScript ("we", "our", or "us") operates a subtitle transcription platform focused on Moroccan Darija content. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use DariScript:

• Account data — your name, email address, and profile picture, provided through Google OAuth via Supabase.
• Usage data — number of videos processed and total transcription minutes used, tracked for plan enforcement.
• Audio files — uploaded temporarily for transcription processing only. They are not permanently stored.

We do not collect payment details directly. Payments are handled by our Merchant of Record provider (Lemon Squeezy).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Authenticate your account and maintain your session.
• Track subscription usage against your plan limits.
• Process transcription requests via the OpenAI API.
• Improve service reliability and performance.

Uploaded audio files are passed directly to the OpenAI API for speech-to-text processing and are not permanently stored on our infrastructure after processing is complete.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party providers to operate DariScript. Each may process limited data necessary to perform their function:

• Supabase — authentication and user database storage.
• OpenAI — speech-to-text processing of uploaded audio. Audio is sent to OpenAI's API and subject to their Privacy Policy.
• Lemon Squeezy — payment processing for paid subscriptions.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account remains active. Audio files are not retained after transcription processing is complete.

5. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at ilyass@acture.co. We will process your request within a reasonable time.

6. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Jurisdiction

This service is operated from Morocco. By using DariScript, you agree that your data may be processed in jurisdictions outside your own where our third-party providers operate.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
